Research on the development of optimal parameters of potassium compounds leaching from spent catalysts used for oxidation of sulfur(IV) oxide
K compds. were leached from the spent V catalyst (grain size 0.090-0.500 mm) from SO(2) oxidn. by aq. solns. of urea, H(2)SO(4) and NaOH (concns. 5-40%) at 293-333K for 0.5-2 h and solid-to-liq. ratio 1:10 to 1:20. The yield of K compds. increased with Increasing leaching temp. and time as well as the concn. of the leaching agent. The highest leaching efficiency (99.0%) was achieved when 40% NaOH was used.
