The assessment of effects of the sewage treatment plant on degree of microbiological air pollution
Air sampled in 4 points on the premises and in the vicinity of municipal sewage treatment plant in Torun, PL, in March-to-August 2008 was studied for microbiolog. pollution. In particular, total fungi, Salmonella, Escherichia coli, Actinomycetes and Staphylococci were mostly present in air from storage place of compost piles and from sand catchers. No significant emission of bacterial aerosol from the aeration chambers was obsd. The concn. of mould fungi spores was low in all air samples.
