Two-stage filter with fibrous ion exchanger was used for air deodorization in a pilot plant installed at corn. meat waste processing plant. The filter was effective in removing bad smelling substances (above 90%) from air. The best results were achieved when the first stage of the filter was regenerated with aq. soln. of Na(2)CO(3), while the second with H(2)SO(4) soln. Odour qual. of the purified air did depend neither on initial concn. of odour substances nor on the air flow rate.
