Catalytic hydrodechlorination of 2,4-dichlorophenol in liquid phase over Pd-Fe/Al2O3 systems
The effect of Fe add. on the activity and selectivity of Pd/Al2O3 catalysts in the hydrodechlorination of 2,4-dichlorophenol in liq. phase was studied. The Fe-modified Pd showed higher activity and stability than monometallic Pd catalysts and higher selectivity towards PhOH. Neither XRD nor ToF-SIMS studies did evidence the presence of any interactions between Pd and Fe on the alumina surface.
