Suspension PVC (optionally contg. 2% TiO(2)) was processed to test samples (tubes) and studied for ageing resistance in an electrolyzed NaCl soln. at 20 degrees C for 720 h (current d. 0.3 A, voltage 4.3 V). After ageing, the test samples were studied for thermal and mech. properties by differential mech. thermal anal. and differential scanning calorimetry. The addn. of TiO(2) resulted in an increase in glass transition temp. and storage modulus while the ageing resulted in a deterioration of the properties.
