Pure chicken manure and the manure mixed with wheat straw were stored in atm. air for 3 months in summer (July-September) and 3 months in winter (January-March) to follow the NH(3) emission and changes in chem. compn. of the manures. The straw addn. resulted in a decrease in the NH(3) emission esp. in winter.
