Emission of CH(4), CO(2) and NO(x) from cattle farming (136 cows, heifers and calves) were detd. by gas chromatog. and by using electrochem. and IR probes. The emissions depended on the bedding system. The highest CH(4) emission was obsd. for deep sawdust bedding, the highest CO(2) emission for slated floor system and the highest NO(x) emission for beddingless system. The emissions were lower than given in the literature.
