Five wheat grain beds (390 mm high) after addn. of tracers (mustard agelite) and optional compression were transported in tubes (65 mm in diam.) by cars in city traffic or on intercity roads (distances 600-21500 km) to study changes in the bed uniformity. The preliminary compression of the beds resulted in decreasing the sepn. of the tracer grains during transportation.
