Extended Model for Theoretical Determination of Mass Transfer Coefficients in Multiphase Flows - Part 1
Nowadays, the design of multiphase reactors as well as the control over superimposed chemical reactions is still a challenge. A lack of physical system independent modeling is the underlying reason, since processes on the meso-scale in complex hydrodynamic structures are not yet described in a physically adequate way. New extended models for the characterization of the meso-scale in multiphase flows carry promising options with respect to the theoretical estimation of mass transfer coefficients.
