Esters from chlorocarboxylic acids are important intermediates in chemical industry. Within the framework of this work it is investigated how the by-product hydrogenchlorid from the chloration can be used for the esterfication. Therefore a method for determination of the kinetic as well as the influence of HCl to the conversion had to be developed.
