Two SiO2 fillers were modified with indigothiazine pigment and added to butadiene-acrylonitrile rubber. Mech. properties of the rubber composite, degree of dispersion of the filler in elastomer matrix and climatic ageing resistance (0,7 W/m(2), 60 degrees C, irradn. time 120 h) were detd. The ageing resulted in deterioration of mech. properties of the vulcanizates but in a less extent than in the case when nonmodified SiO2 was used as a filler.
