Two corn. fire retarding agents were added to a corn. epoxy resin to study their impact on the heat release rate, CO and smoke concns., extinction coeff. and combustion in small scale (cone calorimeter) and full scale (chamber 5x5x2.8 m) after curing. Addn. of the fire retardant resulted in an increasing not only the fire resistance of the resin but also of the CO emmision.
