Four short monoliths with triangular shape were prepd. by microwelding of kanthal strips and studied for heat transfer and air flow resistance. The results were compared with those for the ceramic monolith and packed bed and correlated by dimensionless equations describing the phenomena with a satisfactory accuracy.
