Influence of cellular convection on the rate of the absorption of carbon dioxide into amine solutions
Expt. data on CO2 absorption in aq. solns. of NH2CH2CH2OH and NH(CH2CH2OH)(2) in wetted-wall and packed columns (K. Warmuzinski, J. Buzek and J. Podkanski, 1995) were used for quant. anal. of the cellular convection effects. The effects resulted in an enhancement of the absorption rate. A method for estimation of the effects was developed.
