Two coin. chalk samples were modified with a corn. dispersing agent and studied by inverse gas chromatog. to det. the Flory-Huggins parameter, soly. parameter and free energy of adsorption. The surface treatment of the chalk resulted in an increase of chalk affinity to the test substances.
