Combustion of volatile organic compounds by using catalysts deposited on a wire gauze substrate
The catalyst (spinel Co3O4) was deposited by plasma technique. The kinetic studies were performed in a gradient. less reactor. The plug-flow reactor model was applied. Exps. were performed for catalytic combustion of n-hexane (temp. up to 560 degrees C, gas stream up to 10 m(3)/h STP). The validation showed max. error of 12% between model and experiment.
