Density and Surface Tension Measurements of Partially Carbonated Aqueous Monoethanolamine Solutions
Densities and surface tensions of carbon dioxide (CO2) loaded (partially carbonated), aqueous monoethanolamine (MEA) solutions with amine mass ratio of 0.8 are measured within a temperature range from (313.15 to 343.15) K. The series of aqueous MEA solutions cover a range of CO2 loading from (0 to 0.5). All of the density data points are compared with the predictions of the model from Weiland et al., and data regression is performed to fit the parameters of the model. Predictions from the fitted model are compared with the data reported in this work. The model of Connors and Wright is selected to expand for the H2O-MEA-CO2 tertiary system. Surface tension data from this work are used to fit the parameters of the Connors and Wright model, and the model predictions are compared with the same set of data.
