Remarkable structure dependence of intrinsic catalytic activity for selective oxidation of hydrocarbons with hydrogen peroxide catalyzed by iron-substituted silicotungstates
The structures of iron centers remarkably influenced the catalytic activities, the di-iron-containing gamma-SiW10{Fe(OH2)}(2)O-38(6-) being specifically the most active and giving high turnover numbers; the catalytic activities for oxidation of cyclohexane, cyclohexene, and trans-stilbene were 10(1)-10(2) times higher than those of non-, mono-, and tri-iron-substituted silicotungstates.
