Study of Ultrasonic Speeds of (Xh(CH2)(Nu)(O(CH2)(2))(3)Oh+(1-X)H2O), (Nu=1 and 2) at 298.15 K
The speed of sound in {xH(CH2)(nu){O(CH2)(2)}(3)OH + (1 - x)H2O} for nu - 1 and 2 has been measured as a function of composition at 298.15 K. These results have been combined with those of our previous results for excess molar volumes converted to densities to obtain isentropic compressibilities k(S). Deviation in the isentropic compressibility properties Delta k(S) were evaluated using volume fraction weighting of the individual component properties to estimate ideal mixture behavior.
