Liq. petroleum gas was mixed with air and combusted in the bubbling fluidized sand bed reactor to det. the relationship between temp. and bed mass (height) and the chem., acoustic and optical phenomena. The combustion efficiency increased with increasing the bed hight, where, however, an increased NOx emission was obsd.
