The hybrid of sorghum and Sudan grass (Nutri Honey) and sweet sorghum (BMR Elite), harvested each 14 days between August and November 2011, ware analyzed for dry matter content, prehydrolyzed with H2SO4 at 121 degrees C and fermented to EtOH with Saccharomyces cerevisiae Ethanol Red yeast at 30 degrees C. The highest yield of EtOH was achieved when Nutri Honey biomass was fermented (138-161 L of pure EtOH per 1 t of feedstock).
