The copper(II) triflate and chlorotrimethylsilane combination was found to be effective for the conjugate addition of alpha-sulfur-substituted alkylstannanes to alpha,beta-unsaturated ketones. Thus, the corresponding gamma-sulfur-substituted ketones were obtained in good yields.
