Better Perceptive and Enhanced Visualization of Seismic Profiles for the Exploration of Hydrocarbon Using a Seismic and Synthetic Seismogram Modeling of Khipro Block, Southern Indus Basin, Sindh Province, Pakistan
Seismic and well log interpretation is done using synthetic modeling in the lower Indus basin, Khipro Block for search of suitable traps and reservoir conditions favorable for hydrocarbon accumulation in Lower Goru and Basal Sand. A synthetic seismogram was used to tie well tops and seismic profiles to mark horizons correctly. Well zonation revealed that average porosity ranges from 16-19% and volume of shale ranges from 15-50%. Two zones in Naimat Basal 01 can be perspective units. On the basis of seismic interpretation, test well location is proposed.
