Volumetric and Ultrasonic Studies of Molecular Interactions in n-Alkoxypropanols plus Alkyl Acetates Mixtures at Different Temperatures
Densities and ultrasonic velocities have been measured over the whole composition range for the binary liquid mixtures of dipropylene glycol monomethyl ether (mixture of isomers) {CH3(OC3H6)(2)OH}, dipropylene glycol monopropyl ether (mixture of isomers) {CH3(CH2)(2)(OC3H6)(2)OH}, and dipropylene glycol monobutyl ether (mixture of isomers){CH3(CH2)(3)(OC3H6)(2)OH} with alkyl acetates using an Anton Paar DSA 5000 density and speed sound analyzer in the temperature interval (288.15 to 308.15) K and atmospheric pressure. From these experimental data, excess molar volume, V-m(E) and deviations in isentropic compressibility, Delta kappa(S), have been calculated. The computed results of these quantities have been correlated using the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation to obtain the binary coefficients and standard deviations.
