Three alkyl imidazolium 1,2,4-triazolates and benzotriazolates were synthesized and tested for fungistatic activity against the ref. strains of the Aspergillus and Penicillium moulds. 1-Dodecyl-methylimidazolium 1,2,4-triazolate showed the highest antifungal activity (lowest inhibiting conc. 216 ppm). The compd. was added to 3 paper pulps (3-5%). The paper was effectively protected against the moulds.
