Core-shell and multilayered magnetite nanoparticles-Structural and Mossbauer studies
In the paper, we present the effective method of the preparation of nanosized core-shell or multilayered nanoparticles with various layer compositions. Metals like Cu, Ag and Au have been used as a surface or spacer material in magnetite based particles. In further steps, functionalization of obtained nanoparticles was done. The resulting nanoparticles were structurally examined by X-ray diffraction, infra-red spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. Magnetic properties of the nanoparticles were tested by Mossbauer spectroscopy. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
