Vanadium doping of LiMnPO4: Vibrational spectroscopy and first-principle studies

The samples of pure and 10% vanadium-doped LiMnPO4 have been synthesized by the solid-state reaction technique. The results of Raman and infrared absorption spectroscopy show that the vanadium atoms replace phosphorus giving rise to LiMn(PO4)(1 x)(VO4)(x) solid solutions. This conclusion is confirmed by the first-principle studies. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
