Electrodeposition of platinum on poly(glutamic acid) modified glassy carbon electrode for non-enzymatic amperometric glucose detection
A non-enzymatic glucose sensor was fabricated by electrodeposition of Pt onto a poly(glutamic acid) film modified glassy carbon electrode (Pt/PGA/GCE). The electrochemical properties of the proposed sensor were studied using cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and amperometric i-t curve. It is found that the Pt/PGA/GCE exhibits highly electrochemical activity for the oxidation of glucose. Under optimal conditions, the linear response range is 0.05-5.95 mM with a detection limit (S/N = 3) of 0.011 mM. The sensor exhibits good sensitivity, selectivity and reproducibility. The proposed method was successfully applied for the determination of glucose in glucose injection solution. (C) 2013 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
