A study of the selectivity of the reverse water gas-shift reaction over pt/TiO2 catalysts
In this study, the selectivity of the reverse water-gas-shift reaction using pt/TiO2 catalysts was examined. The optimum calcination temperature was determined to be 923 K with regard to CO selectivity. The catalytic activity and Pt dispersion decreased as the calcination temperature was increased. TEM, XRD, and FT-IR analyses and TPR profiles confirmed that the selectivity of the Pt/TiO2 catalyst was dependent on the carbonate species formed on the reducible TiO2 sites and on the carbonyl species bonded to the Pt sites.
