Magnetic refrigeration technology for an international clean energy network using hydrogen energy (WE-NET)
Liquid hydrogen (LH2) is a promising medium for transporting and storing hydrogen economically. As part of the WE-NET phase II project, distribution technologies such as hydrogen refueling stations and metal hydride tank systems for vehicles are being prepared for field demonstration testing. In addition to such fundamental technologies, hydrogen production systems are also being developed. At the same time, it is necessary to develop refrigeration systems using environmental friendly refrigerants. This report describes a laboratory prototype refrigerator (liquefier) for LH2 with a capacity of 10 kg/day. (C) 2003 International Association for Hydrogen Energy. Published by Elsevier Science Ltd.
