Solid phase nanoreactor based on polycalix[4]resorcinarene for catalytic processes with participation of hydrogen and oxygen
Catalytic redox processes with participation of hydrogen and oxygen proceeding in a solid phase nanoreactor (sulfonated polycalix[4]resorcinarene) containing Pd, Cu, and Ag have been studied. It is shown that catalytic activity of sulfonated polytetraphenylcalix[4]resorcinarene containing Pd in oxidation reactions of hydrogen by nitro-benzene and by copper or silver cations at 313-353 K and at 1.013x10(-5) Pa is 1.1x10(-2), 5.0x10(-3), 3.7x10(-3) mol H-2/min.g Pd, accordingly. Its catalytic activity in a reduction reaction of oxygen by metallic copper at 350 K and at 1.013x10(-5) Pa is equal to 3.45x10(-3) mol O-2/min.g Pd. It is supposed that a great rate of proton diffusion in a polymeric phase should promote high catalytic activity of sulfonated polytetraphenylcalix[4]resorcinarene containing Pd.
