Ti3Al recombination and detonation coats on its basis with improved characteristics
The recombination of Ti3Al from the products of its destructive hydrogenation (alpha-TiHx, beta-TiHy, TiH1,9c, TiH(2)t, TiAl2 and TiAl3) was investigated. The recombinated composition Ti3Al was obtained. It was microscopically determined to be the ordered alloy with the domain structure, which cross-sectional dimension changed from 70 to 200 nm. The hardness of Ti3Al recombinated enhanced in comparison with the initial Ti3Al on 40%. Materials processed by the destructive hydrogenation and recombination was used for the detonation spraying of the coats. These coats are characterized by the low content of the embritting phases and by the narrowing or absence of the borders between single layers and between coat and substrate. The coats from the powders processed in hydrogen have the cohesive resistance with the substrate twice as much, than the coat from Ti3Al powder obtained by the mechanical crushing of the ingot.
