Highly efficient photodeoximation under green and blue LEDs catalyzed by mesoporous C-N codoped nano TiO2
The blank and three C-N codoped titanias were sono-fabricated without or by organic additives: urea, ethylene diamine, and guanidine hydro chloride, denoted as b-TiO2, U-TiO2, E-TiO2 and G-TiO2, respectively. The as-prepared photocatalysts were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), photoluminescence (PL), thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS),UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and Raman spectroscopy. The b-TiO2 has a bicrystalline framework (anatase/brookite) and codoped titanias showed an anatase crystalline phase. The interesting photocatalytic activity of C-N codoped Titania was shown through photosensitizer free deprotection of aldoximes and ketoximes into the corresponding carbonyl compounds under green and blue LED as visible-light source using C-N codoped TiO2. The excellent five times reusability of the photocatalyst was observed. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
