Excess Volumes of (1,3-Dichloropropane or 1,4-Dichlorobutane Plus an N-Alkan-2-One) at the Temperatures 298.15 K and 308.15 K
Excess molar volumes V-m(E) at the temperatures 298.15 K and 308.15 K and normal atmospheric pressure for [x{ClCH2CH2CH2Cl or ClCH2(CH2)(2)CH2Cl} + (1 - x)CH3CO(CH2)(q-3)CH3] With q = 4, 5, and 6 were obtained from measurements of the density with an Anton-Paar densimeter. The V-m(E) values increase as q increases and when ClCH2CH2CH2Cl is replaced by ClCH2(CH2)(2)CH2Cl. Excess molar volumes decrease when the temperature increases. The trend of the excess volumes with the separation of the Cl atoms of the dichloroalkane is just the opposite to that found in previous papers for the excess enthalpies.
