A spin-polarized 2D-ACAR study of the colossal magnetoresistive material La0.7Sr0.3MnO3
Although calculations of the electronic structure of colossal magnetoresistive materials have been performed by several groups, experimental support for these calculations has been lacking. In an effort to contribute this support we have performed spin-polarized 2D-ACAR measurements on a single-crystal sample of the manganite perovskite, La0.7Sr0.3MnO3. Measurements were made at three, vel separated temperatures, two of which were below the paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition temperature of 369K. At the lowest temperature, 35 K, the experimental results show exceptional agreement with the results of the most recent band structure calculations.
