Excess molar enthalpies and excess molar heat capacities of (2-methoxyethanol plus tetrahydrofuran plus cyclohexane) at the temperature 298.15 K
Excess molar enthalpies and excess molar heat capacities at T = 298.15 K were determined for {x(1)CH(3)O(CH2)(2)OH + (1 - x(1))c-(CH2)(4)O, or c-C6H12} and for {x(1)CH(3)O(CH2)(2)OH + x(2)c-(CH2)(4)O + (1 - x(1) - x(2))c-c(6)H(12)}. The experimental data were described through a Redlich-Kister type equation. The ternary mixtures exhibit large positive deviations for both properties investigated. Ternary H-m(E) and C-p,m(E) data were poorly predicted by empirically combine the same data of the pertinent binary mixtures. The H-m(E) data were instead satisfactorily predicted by semi-empirical equations such as UNIQUAC and Wang, but not by UNIFAC.
