Effects of forming conditions on parallel spinning for circular aluminum tube
Tube is widely applied in the light-weighted industrial products attributing to a high rigidity with regard to its weight. Spinning is suitable for the production of a hollow shape having a surface of revolution, such as tubular products and many other axi-symmetric components. A tube can be formed into various shape of rotational symmetry by the radial and axial feeds of roller tools. Therefore, the radial indented feed and axial feed pitch are important working conditions for tube spinning. An experimental study on parallel spinning of tube has been carried out, and the effects of the radial indented feed and axial feed pitch of roller tool on forming properties of tube spinning, such as force, strain and accuracy are examined in this study. The forming properties of tube spinning are made clarified.
