Texture properties of AA8011 aluminum alloy sheet manufactured by the accumulative roll bonding process (ARB)
By Accumulative Roll Bonding(ARB) process, high plastic strain was imposed up to 12 in effective strain and ultra fine grained structures with less than 1 mum in grain size was obtained in AA8011 aluminum alloys. The tensile strength of this alloy increased with strain up to 2.4 at ambient temperature, after that its strength was leveled off. Meanwhile, the elongation is greatly increased compared with other ARB processed aluminum alloy sheets. As imposed strain increased, strong deformation texture was developed in the center region in depth, especially {4411}<11118>, meanwhile strong shear texture was developed on the sheets surface. It is impossible to introduce shear texture in center by accumulation of sheets because shear texture component was vanished out by normal compression force in the center of sheets on the next cycle of ARB.
