Nucleation in rolled BCC metals
The diffusionless nucleation of an embryo in rolled matrices occupies the major portion of nucleation, while the diffusional nucleation is relatively difficult to occur due to the additional diffusion step. The orientation of the embryos forming through the diffusionless nucleation takes after that of the rolled matrix, while the orientation of the embryos forming through the diffusional nucleation is different from that of the rolled matrix or clean surface.
