Effect of deformation-induced intragranular microstructure on plastic anisotropy and deformation textures
The development of an intragranular microstructure during plastic deformation may have an important effect on the anisotropy, especially at strain-path changes. It has recently proved possible to simulate this at the grain level in a multiscale model for the plastic deformation of polycrystals [1]. This paper describes the significant effect of the deformation-induced intragranular microstructure on the stress-strain behaviour of an IF steel during strain-path-change experiments. It also shows. that, although the dislocation patterns modify drastically the critical resolved shear stresses on the different slip systems, which in its turn solve the Taylor ambiguity and affect the slip processes, they have no significant influence on the texture predictions.
