Effects of cementite dissolution and carbon diffusion upon the recrystallization behaviour of low carbon steel
This paper discusses the processes by which interstitial carbon is released from cementite particles during annealing of low carbon steels and the ways in which it may interact with recrystallisation and the associated texture evolution. Quantitative analyses of kinetics are presented. The information is intended for incorporation in a through-process model for steel sheet manufacture.
