Influence of sulfur on formability of galvannealed ultra deep drawing quality steel
The present study was carried out to investigate the effect of sulfur on formability in galvannealed Ti bearing interstitial free (IF) steel sheets fabricated with different sulfur contents. Better drawability such as mean r-value of 2.4 and total elongation of 53% was obtained when the impurity level was lowered to 20 ppm. To evaluate the formability of the samples, limit drawing ratio (LDR), limit dome height (LDH), formability limit diagram (FLD), etc were examined and compared. High values of these formability indices were attributed to the strong development of the {111}//ND and {554}<225> texture components.
