This study examines how thermal treatment influences behaviour in the case of abrasion wear. The material's behaviour under abrasion wear was studied using the "Standard Test Method for Conducting Wet Sand / Rubber Wheel Abrasion Test" and the guidelines of the ASTM G105 regulation were followed. Also studied was the relationship between the microstructure obtained through the different thermal treatments, hardness and resistance to abrasion wear of the steel.
