Study of the parameters of electroplating of ferromagnetic materials in relation to material permeability
In this study, experimental investigations on the parameters of electroplating of ferromagnetic materials in relation to the magnetic permeability of the plated layer are conducted. The results show that for high permeability, the optimum ratio for plated NiFe is Ni79Fe21, and for plated Co-Fe, the permeability increases with the Fe content. For the precise control of Fe content in the plated layer, the results showed that increasing electroplating current density decreases the Fe content for Ni-Fe in conventional DC plating and pulse plating; the plating temperature variation does not affect the Fe content for Ni-Fe conventional DC plating; increasing plating time increases the Fe content in NiFe conventional DC plating; increasing FeSo(4).7H(2)O increases Fe content in Ni-Fe or Fe-Co conventional DC plating; addition of saccharin decreases the Fe content in Ni-Fe plating.
