Study of piezoelectric tubular transducers
A piezoelectric tubular transducer, prepared from a hard ceramic material 0.95Pb(Zr0.52Ti0.48)O(3)(.)0.03BiFeO(3)(.)0.02Ba(Cu0.5W0.5)O-3+0.5wt%MnO2, was investigated. The ferroelectric property of the material was first studied. The bending displacement was then measured. A displacement of 1.03 mum with low loss was generated under a 300 V drive. The bending and longitudinal vibration mode was examined, using an impedance analyzer and finite element software ANSYS/Multiphysics 5.7.
