Advances in positron atomic physics and in the instrumentation and techniques used for positron interrogation of atoms, surfaces and condensed matter, as well as for fundamental positron and positronium studies, as represented by papers at the 13(th) International Conference on Positron Annihilation (Kyoto, Japan, September 2003), are reviewed.
