Characteristics of Film Preparation with Conducting Polyphenylenediamine Powder
Polyphenylenediamine (PPD) films were prepared by mixing the synthesized PPD powder and polyvinylacetate (PVA) as binder and then dissolving in dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), m-cresol, N-methyl-2-pyrrolidione (NMP) as solvents. The chemical structure and properties of synthesized PPD were cofirmed with SEM, FT-lR, NMR, TGA. And the electrical conductivity was measured to confirm the electrical characteristics of PPD films. The electrical conductivity of film increased and showed the highest value when doped with 0.4% LiClO4 solution. The film which had excellent high conductivity was prepared with DMSO in a mixture of PPD powder and PVA(1:1). And a good thermal stability (>350℃ ) of film was shown subject to doping in 0.4% HCI solution.
