Cutting fluids based on cardanol etoxylates
Cardanol was etoxyled with ethylene oxide at 160 degrees C and 0,75-0,35 MPa in presence of NaOH, mixed with di-(2-ethylhexyl) adipate, diluted with water and used as cutting fluids. Antiwear and seizure properties, resistance to microorganisms and biodegradability of the fluids were studied. The cardanol etoxylates-based cutting fluids showed as good properties as the com. ones.
