Industrial cationic starch as a flocculant in technology of water clarification
Cationic starch was added to a kaolin suspension (4 g/L) flocculated with Fe-2(SO4)(3) and Al polychlorides as com coagulants. The flocculation effectiveness of the starch increased markedly in presence of Fe3+ and Al3+ ions.
