Crosslinking and properties of chloroprene rubber and partially hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber blends
Chloroprene rubber was blended with partially (>95%) hydrogenated acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, crosslinked with tetramethylthiuram disulfide and ZnO by pressing at 433 K and then studied for crosslinking degree (swelling in n-heptane, PhMe and MeCOEt), morphology (at. force microscopy) and tensile strength. The cured blends showed lower tensile strength than the blends heated at 433 K without any crosslinking agents.
